A licensed expert in psychotherapy
I am a fully qualified expert in psychotherapy and diagnostic evaluations. I specialize in mood disorders such as depression, and bipolar disorder, as well as patients with anxiety disorders and traumatic experiences. I am committed to providing warm, expert care to improve my patients’ mental health and well being.
I graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a doctoral degree (PhD) in Clinical Psychology in 1988. After a required two-year post-doctoral position, and having passed the National Boards required for national licensure, as well as the written and oral tests on the state level for licensure in Colorado, I started my independent practice career as a licensed Clinical Psychologist in Colorado in 1990 - which continues to the present time.
I began my career at the Boulder Community Hospital’s Mapleton Center for Rehabilitation in Boulder, Colorado in 1998- 2004. As a Staff Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist at the Mapleton Center, I was responsible for the evaluation and treatment of inpatient and outpatient psychiatric patients, as well as a consultant to the Brain Injury Department and Pain Program. Additionally, I consulted with general hospital patients at Boulder Community Hospital.
